Aircontact ”RESCUES” British MoD

Aircontact was on short notice, asked by NATO to find a suitable solution to bring British soldiers from Cardiff to Brunei. The military DC-10 they intended to use had AOG in Oman.
We managed quickly to find a B767-300ER from FlyGlobespan making traffic rights easier since on UK register. Operator sent extra crew to Muscat, as this is a very long flight (16,5 hours). This enabled the flight to go directly and it became a great success.

Client wrote the following after the flight:
“I would like to extend a massive thank you to you and your associates for making this so successful. The efficiency and flexibility shown throughout has ensured that this high priority task went ahead on time despite our changing requirements resulting from a broken aircraft in MCT. Please extend our thanks to all that were involved in ensuring the success of this task.”
