Capacity increase of more than 15 % - April 2010 to March 2011

Air Mauritius is increasing capacity by more than 15 % on its network, offering more flexibility and choices to customers. The destinations concerned by this initiative are:

LONDON
The number of flights to London increase from three to four with one flight on Wednesdays and Thursdays and two flights on Saturdays.

In addition, from 5th to 12th April and from 19th July to 6th September 2010, a fifth weekly flight will be operated on Mondays.

Five frequencies will be operated from November 2010 til end of March 2011. A sixth flight is scheduled on Tuesdays between 14th December and 11th January 2011.


SOUTH AFRICA
12, 000 extra seats are programmed during the World Cup period.

Johannesburg
An Additional frequency is scheduled on MOndays thus ensuring a daily flight on this route.

Durban
Air Mauritius will increase from on to two weekly frequencies, scheduled on Tuesdays and Sundays as from 2nd May 2010.


DEHLI
A second flight was introduced on Wednesdays as from 31st March 2010.


AUSTRALIA

Perth
A direct flight is scheduled on Saturdays as from 3rd July 2010.

Sydney/Melbourne
Air Mauritius is reintroducing its flight to Sydney with a stop-overv in Melbourne as from the 5th July 2010.


SINGAPORE AND KUALA LUMPUR
A third weekly frequency will be operated on Wednesdays from 14th July to 18th August 2010, in addition to the current flights on Tuesdays and Fridays.


NAIROBI
A second flight is scheduled as from 3rd July 2010.


"Passenger traffic for Air Mauritius has picked up in several markets where signs of recovery were noted. We are playing fully our role of national airline in promoting Mauritius as a destination. We continue to monitor closely our markets to seize oppertunities and adapt our offers accordingly.  However, we have to be cautious as recovery remains precarious on some routes. We must also tak into account the high fuel prices wich impact our operating costs," stated Donald Payen, Executive Vice President Commercial of Air Mauritius.
