DC10 to Mazar-e Sharif

On September 8th 2008, Aircontact organized a charter flight for the Norwegian military from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Mazar-e Sharif in Afghanistan. The aircraft, a converted McDonnel Douglas DC-10 freighter from the carrier Avient, carried some 58 tonnes of cargo, consisting of 14 vehicles and 11 aircraft pallets with general cargo. The aircraft landed in Mazar-e Sharif on September 9th as the first of its kind ever.
