In the spring of 2009 Estonian Air is adding to its fleet three brand new CRJ900 NextGen aircraft capable of carrying up to 90 passengers. With these new and modern aircraft Estonian Air will be able to offer a more flexible flight schedule, open new routes and develop the existing markets.
The aircraft are modern, comfortable and environmentally friendly, and have a lower cost basis, which enables to improve the operator’s flexibility in the increasingly competitive market situation.
The CRJ900 NextGen made its first flight in 2001 and production of this aircraft type started in 2003.
Currently the fleet of Estonian Air consists of two 142-seat Boeing 737-300 and four 118-seat Boeing 737-500; the fleet of Estonian Air Regional, a 100% subsidy of Estonian Air consists of two 33-seat SAAB 340 aircraft.
