 Flights for Nordic military - exercise Cold Response 2007 in Norway

In connection with the big NATO exercise Cold Response 2007, Aircontact organized several flights for the Norwegian, Swedish and Danish military. The exercise took place mainly in the northern parts of Norway in the period 5th to 14th of March, with over 10.000 soldiers from 13 different countries.
 
In week 9 we had a flight from Skydsrup, via Karup, to Evenes and Bodo for the Danish military, using a Boeing 737-700 from SAS Braathens.
 
In week 11 we organized several flights for the re-deployment of the Norwegian soldiers. Aircontact organized flights for approximately 1600 of the Norwegian troops home from the exercise, performing 11 flights using one Boeing 737-200 from European Air Charter, one MD-82 from Fly Nordic and two Airbuses from MyTravel Airways Scandinavia, one Airbus A321-200 and one A330-200.
 
For the Swedish military we used a Dash 8-100 from Wideroe´s Flyveselskap, re-deploying troops from Evenes to Orebro.
