Background:
Gabriella Attard was born and brought up in Malta, which undoubtedly influenced her interest in travel and tourism, as well as her interest in foreign languages. She started her career in a small Valletta hotel, where she learnt to be the superwoman she is today. After studying linguistics in Brighton, England, she later returned to her native Malta and was later employed with several travel agencies dealing with incoming and outgoing tourism, as well as a tour operator representative for Italian, French and Norwegian speaking clients.
After some time in Milan, Italy, where she taught English, the allure of the Viking world drew Gabriella to Norway in 1991, where she has since lived. Gabriella was later employed with Norwegian State Railways and with Scandinavian Airlines as a travel consultant. Her extensive experience in the travel industry and the fact that she speaks English, French, Italian, Malteese and Norwegian fluently has been invaluable to her in her work at Aircontact.
