Norwegian Manchester United fans to the CL final in Moscow

Manchester United Norwegian fan club, decided to charter their own aircraft for Norwegian fans going to Moscow for the CL final. Knowing Aircontact’s experience with the Russian marked and general expertise in the charter business, they approached us asking to help out.

On a yearly basis, Aircontact arranges several flights a month to Russia and knows which problems that can occur. Traffic rights being one of the major issues, we advised the client to charter an aircraft on Russian register and Domodedovo based VIM Airlines turned out to be the perfect partner in this case. A Boeing 757-200, with 220 seats was chosen, and just a few days after the confirmation from the client, all slots and traffic rights were in place. The airline did its best to support all pax, waiting for check in and security and the long boarding time when leaving Moscow, but what else can you expect when 20 000 Man U fans are scheduled to travel at the same time, along with all other normal traffic in the busy Domodedovo airport. 

Thanks to the incredible good atmosphere (Man U won the match), all pax took all the queuing with a smile and patience. Despite all the pax and slow working airport staff, both our flights were on time, and approx 24 hours after departing Oslo, all pax were back in Norway, tired but happy.
