Monday 5th of March, Aircontact arranged an Antonov 124 Ruslan for 15 tracked vehilcles bound for Sudan. The old military vehicles which now are owned by a civillian company, have been given a fresh coat of paint, and re-build for tasks in the Sudanese wildernes. They will be used by a company exploring the ground for oil and gas in areas where no wheel driven vehicle have access. Aircontact have earlier arranged Antonov 124 Ruslan for same type of vehicles.
Due to the size of the aircraft and needed space for loading, the aircraft was handled on the military side of OSL, and even though the military took no part in the handling of the aircraft, we do apriciate their great collaboration during the time spent on their apron.
